Variable: "pelvic infection" is very non-specific. It doesn't describe the area of the pelvis involved, the organism(s) causing it, or anything to which an appropriate answer can be formulated. If you had bacterial vaginosis, this is not an std. If you had pelvic inflammatory disease the chances are this was std induced. Don't have unprotected sex without your partner proving they are free of std.
