Difficult to say: It is difficult to make a diagnosis of adenomyosis in a 20 year old. I would say that it is unusual and a second opinion in this regard is warranted. 85% of couples have little trouble conceiving within the first year of trying. This would also apply to you most likely. If you are not trying to get pregnant, then the best way to control the pain with your cycles is with birth control pills.
