Allergies: These two oral medications are equivalent and thus medicine would be neutral on this question. There is no right or wrong answer. But what is missing here is the more effective part of nasal allergy symptoms and that is treating with a nasal steroid spray such as flonase. That would be most effective or an effective adjunct to the oral anti-histamines.
