Strange question: That is a strange question. No one can tell you for sure because different people react differently to infections. It depends on their genetics, the strain/virulence of the pathogen, and the patient's co-morbidities. Some may clear an infection quickly, some may die quickly, some may tolerate it for some time. So, it's not possible to say which ones take 1 year.

?question: There is no 'literal' answer for this question. How someone fights off infections depends on their immune status, age, overall health and well being, associated medical conditions, etc., etc. There are no specific infections that kill within 'literally 1 year, no more, no less.'.
