A member asked:

Can a person have both a protein c and protein s deficiency?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Combined protein c and protein s deficiencies can occur in one individual who is unlucky enough to inherit both autosomal dominant traits. This is very rare. Care should be taken as to when to check levels of these two proteins since both of them would be low in patients taking warfarin since both are also vitamin k-dependent in their production in the liver.
