Depends: This depends on the surgeon's preference. I have done it both ways, awake and asleep. Many things factor into this decision. Discuss with the surgeon.

Son has ear tubes. Fluid draining from one ear. Has sinus drainage too. Take him to doc bc of ear drainage? Worried it's ear infection.
