Not even remotely : Carpal tunnel presents with wrist and hand pain, with numbness and tingling usually involving the ring, middle, and index fingers and thumb. Most symptoms worse at night. Tennis elbow presents with specific pain over the outside of the elbow, specifically induced by certain gripping or grasping movements. Numbness is never part of tennis elbow.

Typically not: Carpal tunnel syndrome typically causes hand pain and or numbness. Tennis elbow usually causes pain over the lateral elbow and slightly down the forearm with activity.
