It can: But the denture will not fit right, and it will have no suction to hold it in place. You will need to constantly use denture adhesive. Many patients function this way. An alternative is to place dental implants which will hold the denture in place.

Upper denture palate: The short answer is "no" because the upper denture stays in place by a "suction cup effect" and surface tension and if you remove the palate portion, it will not stay up. If you have implants holding the denture you can cut off the palate if you have at least four upper implants because they will keep the denture in place and give enough support to the denture to resist biting forces.

No: If you cut the palate off a full upper denture you will loose the seal ( suction) that hold the denture in place.

Yes: Yes we can shortenee o remove it completly but we need to give other type of support and retention to the denture and that is where we need implants.

Yes: It can be cut out but this will dramatically impact on the stability of the denture. If the palate of the denture bothers you consider utilizing some mini dental implants and then you can get rid of the palate and have a stable denture also.
