Disturbing thoughts?: It sounds like you definitely need evaluation and treatment for depression. Both are available through your own physician, along with psychiatrists and psychologists. You don't specify what sort of "disturbing thoughts" you're having, but if these are suicidal ideas please get yourself to an er, or call 911 or the suicide prevention lifeline: 1-800-273-8255.

Disturbing thoughts?: Thoughts of suicide, harm to others or loss of touch with reality deserve immediate medical attention. See your doctor for a medical work up. Talking therapy ranks really high. Cognitive Behavioral therapy or psychotherapy can be effective. Aim for daily exercise, 8 hours of sleep per night & good nutrition w 5 servings of veggies & 4 of fruit per day. Try tai chi, yoga, Qi Gong,
