I wouldn't worry. : But stay in contact with your cardiologist and let him know if you have any changes, like shortness of breath.

mitral leak: Mild mitral insufficiency on echo is very common and most often of little signficance. If your cardiologist told you to not worry about it, then don't. It is no big deal at all and most usually doesn't ever cause a problem. Cardio would have told you if it was signficant.
