Not possible: The common symptoms of a stroke (face and one sided weakness, difficulties speaking, etc.) can be seen in many other diseases. It is crucial that when symptoms develop the person goes to the er immediately. There is no way to tell if someone had a mild stroke without brain imaging (mri). It is important to be evaluated even if things got better as preventing another event is very important.

FAST: Typically stroke symptoms include drooping face (f), sudden weakness of arm (a) and or leg, inability to speak or understand speech (s), if any of those are present time (t) to go to the er!
