Multifactorial: Couple of ways. First, work on decreasing stressors - behavioral approach. Muscle spasms in the shoulders are often exacerbated by stress. Second, regular stretches and exercise. Third, use of modalities like electrostimulation, freeze it, and warm compresses. Fourth, anti-inflammatories. Always get check with your physician to rule out underlying etiologies.
