Many possibilities: The egg must be picked up by the tube. The tube must not be blocked. Adequate sperm must be able to reach egg in tube at the right time. So cervical mucous must be adequate for sperm and sperm must be healthy. Embryo must be able to implant in adequately prepared endometrium.

Birth Control: Avoiding exposure to fresh semen in the vagina. I am not sure what else to say given that you are 25. There are several ways to prevent pregnancy from condoms to iuds to oral birth control pills to Depo-Provera shots. Your gynecologist can go over the best options for you. But, you cannot get pregnant if there is no exposure to semen.
