A member asked:

If you take 12 pills of cytotec for an incomplete miscarriage, and then ovulate about 5-7 days after. can it cause any harm to a baby conceived in that cycle? can the cytotec harm the egg that is about to be released?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If ovulation is detected by a "home test", and pregnancy occurs, the prior use of "cytotec" should not interfere with the pregnancy or the viability of the egg released at ovulation. See your GYN physician for guidance, as an "incom;lete miscarriage" may cause remaining debris from the miscarriage to cause continued bleeding.
