Any prescribed blood thinner does not wear down a blood clot in the majority of cases. care to reply?

Body does it: There are 'clot dissolving' drugs which directly break up clots, but most traditional 'blood thinners' simply prevent additonal clot being laid down, while the body's natural defenses dissolve existing clot.
