Not usually: How long have you had the iud ? Many people have irregular periods or no periods after an iud has been inserted. If you are concerned over pregnancy- recheck in 2 weeks.

Paraguard: Paraguard typically increases the amount of your period in the first few months and is not known to decrease periods. If you had it inserted and used another contraception method at the time of insertion, the chances of pregnancy are small, but if you are in doubt, repeating pregnancy test is an option.
