A member asked:

Do some people with lupus get rid of it, or is it forever there once you get it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chronic disease: If the diagnosis of lupus is correct, it is a chronic disease and may require daily therapy just like other chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension for example. There is one form of lupus called drug induced lupus caused by a rare prescription drug and if the drug is stopped the lupus symptoms may and usually go away.
