Depends.....: The longevity will depend on how well it was performed, the quality of the restoration and how you take care of the tooth. An endodontist will in general get a better result, especially with molars. A well placed crown or onlay will lower fracture potential, no post or a flexible post will lower root fracture and good hygiene will lower recurrent decay. I have seen 50+ year old rcts.
