Root canal treatment has very high success rate if the tooth is properly restored with post and crown after completion of Root canal .In your case ,if there is microfracture at root the prognosis is poor but life of tooth can be extended with use of Orthotic appliance after completion of root canal and if tooth is restored with drill free bonded post and Crown .

AT YOUR AGE THE TOOTH HAS BEEN TRAUMATISED OVER THE YEARS AND A ROOT CANAL COULD CAUSE MORE TRAUMA. EVEN IF SUCCESFUL THE TOOTH COULD STILL FRACTURE MORE AND AND A COSTLY ROOT CANAL IS UNSUCCESSFUL.IN THE LONG RUN AN EXTRACTION AND IMPLANT MAY BE THE BEST CHOICE.
