Probably not: Self injury is like a lot of symptoms/behaviors: it needs to be evaluated for the severity/etiology etc. What a counselor would next do about them depends a lot on the history. I hope you would feel ok to disclose this to a therapist; i also hope the counselor would be neutral/response and find out more about it.
