Spine prolapse: Not sure if you're asking about a prolapsed disc, or a disc herniation, or a collapsed spine? A prolapsed disc or disc herniation can cause back pain with lower extremity pain, weakness and or numbness. Depending on the severity, nonoperative treatment can be very successful. Walk a lot, alternate cold and heat on the back, and try to stay flexible. Immobilization is typically bad. Good luck!
