A member asked:

What are some treatments for a prolapsed (slipped) disc in my back?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: The treatments really depend on what the symptoms are . Not a prolapsed discs are painful or need treatment. However if you do need treatment, the mainstay is physical therapy. Other treatments may include anti-inflammatory meds, muscle relaxants and occasionally need for stronger pain medication. Various types of injections in the back can also be helpful but usually are not stand alone treatment.
