Can you please discuss the realistic options for protection against rape?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

There is no absolute: Protection against rape or any other crime. Most sexual assaults are by someone you know & trust. To reduce your risk, you can learn assertiveness & self-defense skills, secure your home, avoid being alone in risky situations, learn to improve & trust your judgement of people (the gift of fear is a good book), and avoid being intoxicated or high. Victims are not responsible for rape.
