Yes: Symptoms from a concussion can last for a long time, but most resolve. Sometimes, other symptoms arise like depression, ptsd, and other emotional and psychological issues, and these can get in the way of recovery, so be sure to share all of this with the provider taking care of you and get the appropriate treatment if needed.

Several weeks: In general, the symptoms of a concussion may take up to 6 weeks to go away. The symptoms are varied and include headache, clouded mentation, nausea/vomiting, ringing in the ears, dizziness, fatigue, to name a few. If there is not improvement after about 6 weeks, your physician may get a ct or MRI scan of the brain to make certain that there isn't a structural problem like a subdural hematoma.

How long does it take for post concussion headaches to go away?

Post concussive : After a concussion it is not unusual to have some persistent headache, dizziness, vertigo or general malaise. So long as the symptoms are getting better slowly, I wouldn't worry too much. If increased activity worsens the symptoms, slow down and see if doing a little less helps improve your symptoms. It may take 4-6 weeks to get back to normal. If you are getting worse, go see your doctor!!
