Common cold: Great question! a lot of us would like to know the answer to this one, too. There really isn't any known cure, to date. There are some things to help the symptoms get better and there are a few things that help the cold go away faster. Increase fluid intake. Take anti-oxidant vitamins, like vit c & e. You can try zinc gluconate lozenges, but have to start within 3 days. Even chicken soup.

What are some good remedies for the common cold?

Rest and hydration: While not very satisfying, the old fashion advice of drink a lot of fluids and get enough rest is probably the best we have. Dietary supplements have been studied and the data is conflicting. Zinc supplementation may help as may vitamin c - however, neither has enough data for me to fully endorse them as helpful.
