Isotretinoin: Commonly known as Accutane is an oral form of a vitamin a derivative. It is a regulated medication that dermatologists use to treat sever or cystic acne. It requires blood testing and monitoring during treatment. It is a weight-based medication that is used for 4-5 months. Side-effects incl skin dryness, sun sensitivity , hair loss , muscle aches and increased triglycerides & cholesterol.
