Anemia: You should go to see your doctor and have some evaluation to find the cause of your anemia. The treatment will depend on the cause of the problem. Hemoglobin of 8 for a male at your age is a significant anemia. Careful history taking, examination and some blood works should be done and as indicated referral to a hematologist/onc and/or gastroenterologist should be considered. Start with your pmd.

Find cause: You must demand that your personal physician tell you why you are anemic. If he/she can't tell why or how the workup will proceed, you must get a second opinion. At your age, in a man, anemia is bleeding into the gut from an ulcer or cancer until proved otherwise. Do what you need to.
