Hypertension: Hypertension is generally a life long treatment disease. You should not stop treatment unless your physician tells you its appropriate.

Not a good idea: Blood pressure, diabetes thyroid disorders are all similar you may not be able to stop. Some cases it will be feasable work with your physician.
