Tics: Yes, when you are compulsively jerking your head, you are straining your head and neck muscles leading to headache, you must rule out other causes for headaches and also seek rx for ocd it sounds moderate to severe.

Tics and headaches: Jerking your head in a nodding motion is a common factor for some people with tics. The headaches may come from bringing your head backwards pinching the greater occipital nerve causing headaches. It also puts strain on neck muscles. The back and forth repetitive movement back and forth may be triggering labrynthine response causing headache.
