Moderate use lowers: Risk of kidney cancer has been shown to be lower in people who have a history of moderate alcohol consumption. Researchers do not understand why, but there is consistent findings. The only other cancer for which this is the case is non-hodgkin's lymphoma. Several other cancers have increased risk correlated with alcohol use.
