Not likely: Some bacterial ear infections produce bullae/vesicles ("blisters") on the ear drum. The majority will resolve spontaneously as the infection resolves, and with no residual problems. Should get the ear rechecked after symptoms gone (/antibiotics done, if put on them), to be sure that there is no fluid collection behind the drum & the bulla is gone.
