Of course: You mention you lost your mom at such an early age; also, remember that eating disorders and depression are very often associated (we may wonder if your mom also suffered from depression). Statiscally yes (both entities associate) and possibly also yes as a factor (because of genetic inheritance, and trauma) that caused or helped develop your mdd.
