No: There can be discrepancies in the size of both breast and areola. the only time for concern is if an ulcerating area appears from the nipple and invades the surface of the areola, Pagets of the nipple. There can be some cystic tissue under the areola but usually this area devoid of dense breast tissue. If mammo/sono then just carefully watch with periodic surgical check up.
