No: If you have true pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic floor exercises will not correct it. If you have intact connective tissue , exercises will strengthen the pelvic muscles. Depending on the degree of prolapse and your symptoms, a gynecologist might recommend pelvic reconstruction surgery or use of pessaries. I tend to want to fix the problem surgically.

Unlikely: If you have prolapse to the degree that a pap smear was difficult it is unlikely that pelvic floor exercise will make a significant difference.
