Big toenail: It is possible that your toenail is turning white as a result of nail polosh use. The ridging of the nail couls occur when there is cessation and resuming of nail growth. This can be brought on by an illness. Lastly, the redness along the side of the nail may be an ingrown toenail. This condition would require treatment. If there is a concern that the nail fungal, a nail culture is recommend.

May need attention: Not sure of your question, but it sounds like you lost your nail and it is growing back. You may be getting an ingrown nail which would cause it to be red on the side. You need to have it looked at to prevent the ingrown nail becoming infected.
