Drug interactions: The combination of Celexa (citalopram) and Omeprazole may result in increased Celexa (citalopram) levels, risk of qt prolongation, cardiac arrhythmias, serotonin syndrome, inhibition of hepatic metabolism.

Interactions: Agree with dr. Tamler that this is not a safe combo. Omeprazole inhibits a liver enzyme (cytochrome 2c19) that's requires to metabolize celexa (citalopram). This means Celexa (citalopram) could build up in your system, potentially causing heart rhythm disturbances, serotonin syndrome, etc. I don't recommend this combination.
