Very helpful to take: Magnesium is not only safe to take but often extremely beneficial in mitral valve prolapse. Research shows that magnesium deficiency is very common in people with mvp and that taking magnesium often dramatically reduces symptoms. Yes, : Yes , as long as there is no kidney disease. And take the normal dose of magnesium, however, if you are on diuretics, or having a problem with gi/fequent diarrhea, you may need more. Pending blood magensium level. Normally, the normal doses is between 400 mg of mg oxide daily or bid.Again pending blood mg level.
