Not really: Young babies do not yet know how to clear their throat or blow their nose so all they can reasonably do is sneeze and cough. You can help clear the nose by using a bulb syringe those most 9 month olds hate it. Most important is to keep them healthy by avoiding ill people, hand washing and (above all) diligence in avoiding cigarette smoke.
