A member asked:

Ive had loss of voice, chronic cough, and now always clearing phlegm from my throat. what could be the issue? should i get my throat looked at or lungs? cough been happening for 2 months, voice change 2 months, phlegm 3 weeks?

Since your phlegm appears to becoming from your throat & not lower down from the trachea or bronchial tubes, I think it's more likely from postnasal drip, sinuses or even reflux. I favor your consulting an ENT specialist for diagnosis & treatment. A chest x-ray may also be ordered. A referral to a pulmonologist can be arranged if deemed advisable..
