Liver Donation: The liver is an amazing organ. If you donate part of your liver to your father you will not only have a normal future, but you very well may generate tissue to replace the liver you donate. If you are willing to do this for your father there is little risk to your health.

Don't do it: Your offer is commendable, but from my reading, most centers prefer to wait until dad can get a complete cadaver liver. Don't deprive dad of this opportunity by doing something which would also be very risk for yourself. At your age, you have a duty to those around you to remain healthy -- if nothing else, to give back to society what it's invested in you.
