See below: Severe pain of the shoulder in a young male without trauma really should seek out an orthopaedic surgeon for evaluation of this musculoskeletal disorder . A thorough history and physical exam is helpful for this severe pain . In the interim trying some otc advil (ibuprofen) with food as prescribed on the box and if there is no medical contraindications . And some type of liniment bio freeze .Donot put itoff.

Shoulder pain: Shoulder pain deserves a clinical evaluation especially in a 19 year old. The shoulder complex actually is 4 joints with integrated ligamentous and muscular attachments that coordinate movement and provide stability to the shoulder. Would have evaluated by a sports trained primary care doctor, physical medicine doctor or ortho surgeon from eval and recommendations.
