Epidural injection: You should take it easy the day of the injection. The steroid injection takes a few days to be effective.

5 min: Not sure what you mean. The injection is to calm down pain/inflammation at the various levels using a steroid as the anti-inflammatory. You should start feeling better in a day or so if the injection was done properly and you have a condition that is conducive to this type of therapy.
