Yes: The vast majority of ovarian cysts are physiologic and result from ovulation. Over 95% of them resolve spontaneously. The 5% that don't resolve are of interest to clinicians. The risk of ovarian cancer in the us is 1:70 unless there is a family history in a first degree relative. Cysts that don't resolve deserve evaluation.
