Get a 2nd opinion: Not sure what you're referring to. More importantly, what's your question? How was it determined that a nerve was a little damaged? And what things are helping her that you're worried about? If you can give us some more details, we may be able to give you a better answer. In meantime, consider getting a 2nd opinion if you're not convinced that she's getting best therapy.

Not sure: But I do not think that things that doctors would have recommended for your sister to help her hear better would make her worse. It might seem that way if she is getting use to the things that are helping her because then she would seem to not hear as well naturally, but in truth her hearing would be the same.

Discuss w specialist: Most treatments that are used to help hearing are not harmful. However because you have not listed what interventions have you concerned- it is difficult for me to be able to give you an adequate assessment. Thus i recommend yu sit down and discuss your concerns with the audiologist/ent.
