A member asked:

Just had a baby and i live by a very busy road can the constant noise harm my baby's hearing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I wouldn't think so: Although you should work to minimize babies exposures to loud noise, they do have some natural ability to use their delicate ear bones to muffle sound. During pregnancy they heard your nearby heart beat & bowel sounds without a problem & much of the world around them is not as loud. Do what you can to reduce exposures & talk the issue over with your dr if worries persist.
