It's okay to feel it: U r focusing on your heart a lot & being at attention like that makes the body release adrenaline, making the heart pound louder. In bed when everything is quiet, it's hard to stop listening. It sounds like an adrenaline problem rather than a heart problem. One way to reassure yourself is to check your pulse and if the heart rate is stable you should be fine. Find a way to relax - read or stretch.
