A member asked:

How are you suppose to treat hyperadrenergic pots ?

Betablockers: I see you're on atenolol. A more potent beta blocker like Nadolol may help. Pots can be difficult to control.

Hard to control: Pots can be a challenge. Avoiding dehydration & unnecessary stimulants (like caffeine or nicotine) can be helpful. Aerobic lower extremity exercises or compression hose can help. Meds may include fludrocortisone, ssri antidepressants, Clonidine (an alpha2 adrenergic agent), Labetalol (an alpha1/beta blocker) or even Methyldopa may be effective. May require multiple tries to find a good approach.
