I'm examining protopic 4 vitiligo.i heard evidence is poor 4 the cancer claims, but what if i use it on a large area & on thin skin like eyes/genitals?

Protopic: Not sure how effective for vitiligo, but it is safe to use on thin skin, just remember the first few applications feel uncomfortable on the skin, try it on a small area first. Agree, evidence for cancer in small areas of the skin is not substantiated.

Perhaps: In providing the answer, you should be aware of the black box fda warning on cancer risk even though there is little evidence for it. Everything we do in medicine , as in life, is based on risk/benefit ratio. Since your problem is mostly cosmetic , only you can decide on whether any risk is acceptable. Use only the lower potency Protopic on thin skin .You may also consider photo treatment.
