Make sure it is BPH: There are lots of ways BPH can present. See your doctor for an evaluation. Sometimes more serious health conditions like diabetes and heart failure present with urinary issues. If it is bph, and you're mildly bothered, try Alpha blocker therapy, a tried and true safe way to improve symptoms.

Benign prostate: We use int'l prostate symptom score to assess how badly your prostate bothers you. For mild issues, 1st avoid cold & allergy medications. Also avoid diuretics like alcohol & caffeine. Several studies show saw palmetto doesn't work even at double usual dose but perhaps some benefit from pygeum & nettles. And avoid fluids after dinner to minimize nighttime awakening to urinate.
