A member asked:

What is the most effective bp meds for altitude induced hypertension? bp is normal at sea level but off the charts at elevation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unusual: You might want to try acetazolamide (diamox) which is very useful for other altitude related illnesses like migraine and pulmonary edema. You might need a second drug since it's not a potent diuretic - maybe propranolol?
